Every now and then I like to pick a random book from the library and this week's book inspired this late night illustration. I'm having some fun with Acrylic, Microsoft's free (for now) graphics program.
And old drawing here, it was originally an illustration for an article entitled Ricism or Racism in Ricepaper Magazine. I promised myself I would do new stuff only for Illustration Friday, and for my second round I've already broken my own rules. Oh well.
Okay, its playoff time folks, and our first game tonight against the higher-placed-by-one-spot 4th place team led to a victory in the last minute of the game. It was remarkably similar to 3 trimesters of pregnancy - very tired first period (and you ask, how can you be so tired in the first period? but we had to play 3 D, of which I was one, which often leads to 2+min on the ice), superhuman, wonder-woman strength in the 2nd ( there is no way you are getting that puck off me!) followed by the urge to cry and lie down in third. Thank god for our leading scorer who scored both the tying goal and the winner in less than 45 seconds.
A sign of good things all around, I've been feeling too well-adjusted (and too slightly overworked) to blog. I'm feeling renewed commitment to writing though, just not right now. Its one o'clock in the morning and my baby has woken up.
